Karnatakas largest bird sanctuary located on islands in the Kaveri River, where boat rides take you within meters of nesting birds. Established by ornithologist Salim Ali, the sanctuary hosts massive breeding colonies of spot-billed pelicans, painted storks, and serves as a crocodile breeding ground.
